The good Robust is claimed to be like Yetti. A lot of people talk about it, but nobody's ever been drinking it. But do you really deserve such ridiculous fruits from the strawberry coffee? And what's Robust really worse than Arabica's much more popular?
Here's a little theory. On our planet grows about 100 species of coffee plants, of which the most important are the following four: arabica (Coffea arabica), the state (Coffea canephora), Liberia (Coffea liberica) and sharia (Coffea excelsa).
Although coffee can be made from the fruits of all these shrubs, only two of them are responsible for over 97% of the world's coffee production - the Arabic coffee machine and the coffee maker. While from the first one we get a mixture called Arabica, from the other Robusta. While the first one is talking in superlatives, the other coffee lovers often ridicule. What's the difference between them?

Arabic Coffee - Arabica
Arabic coffee is a very demanding plant from the point of view of cultivation. Meets temperate temperatures around 20 ° C and an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level. The first fruits will be brought to their owner after 5 - 6 years and they have to be collected by hand - selective combing.
Arabica contains pretty little caffeine (1.5 %) , has a distinctive aroma and a delicate, delicious flavor.

Sturdy coffee machine - Robusta
Strong coffee is a much more comfortable plant for growers. Heats the warmer climate at low altitudes, so you will most often encounter it in equatorial areas. Although originated in Central Africa, its largest grower is nowadays Vietnam.
The first fruits of the coffee bearer grow after 2-3 years , moreover, much more than in the case of Arabica. They contain twice as much caffeine (3 %) , their taste is heavy, earthy, somewhat uncomfortable.
It follows that Arabica is more luxurious, more fragrant, tastier, ... simply better. If you drink coffee because of its taste, if it is a gastronomic experience for you, then definitely choose Arabic. You will enjoy it much more - of course, provided you prepare it well in the cafe.
But a lot of people drink coffee for its stimulating effects. Shortly before they go to work. Or during working hours. In that case, Robust will be better for you. You will not enjoy it, but the high caffeine content will kick you up nicely. If you have Robust well prepared, it can also offer you a pleasant taste experience.
